My Story

I grew up playing hockey. I spent 12 years skating, scrimmaging, and competing year-round which is where I fell in love with the gym, the weightroom, and the off ice training.  I loved being challenged, pushing myself, and constantly pursuing excellence. When my hockey career came to an end after graduation I started running. I was searching for a challenge and moved into long distance running, competing in 1/2 marathons throughout the state.  Crossfit was introduced to me from a coworker and it only took one class before and I was hooked.  The competitiveness, weight training, and group fitness that crossfit offers is amazing, and I love the culture that it brings.  After competing in many crossfit competitions, I decided that the weightlifting portion of crossfit was my true passion.  I switched to weightlifting which includes the two lifts, snatch and clean and jerk.  I trained in this setting for 6 years, competing on a regular basis. I placed consistently in the top 3 at both MN state championships and MN open every year.  After joining Los Campeones gym in Minneapolis I was intrigued by the art of bodybuilding and started working these practices into my routine.  It didn’t take long before I was prepping for my first show. I competed in my first bodybuilding show in November 2020 where I won the physique class and placed second in the figure class. I then prepped for my first national show where I competed against some of the best competitors in the US.
